Very important tool very everyday practice
Not enough info. For medication no info about renal insufficiency. The medical condition section is too basic to be of any use. Hopefully it will improve with time an compete with epocrates and other similar products, but still include canadian names for medications
Great resource, not so many calculators but a great start!
Great start. Looking forward to use it in my practice.
And made in Redmond. Not detailed enough for clinical use.
The content of Drugs and Conditions is from the drug tables of the Canadian Pharmacists Associations publication called Therapeutic Choices, a well known Canadian evidence based therapeutic resource.
Good reference for everyday primary care issues. Not as thorough as other references eg. Doses in renal failure, but easy to read and straight to the point. I have started to use/test it in my practice. I hope it will be updated regularly.
I had apps that require an account set up and login. This app is a waste.
As compared to epocrates, md consult and lexidrugs this app is waste of time. Info is very basic and simplified and may of use to pharmacist but not enough for clinicians.
This app is for those lived 99 years ago!!!!so primitive plz dont waste ur time DL or even Review
Stick to the book. Missing significant meds such as WinRho.
2012-02-11 Less info than in the book, but otherwise it could weight 2gigs. Handy and easy to consult, its more than generic people could know. And its free for a month. Surprisely, its impossible to find where what costs how... Not a good marketing way...
Does not have half the info in the CPS. Stick to the book or online version.
Having a iphone version of the CPS in a well organized user friendly format would of been a must for all canadian health care providers. Unfortunately, this falls much too short of that with limited info on the drugs that are present and even that list is short. I would of gladly switched to a Canadian source for my therapeutics information but now thanks to the free trial, Im very happy I didnt spend money. Ill stick with lexi-comp (even though its intended for the U.S.) Hopefully they improve this in the future.
False pretention: "Drugs and Conditions brings the Therapeutic Choices drug tables to your fingertips". The tables are not there and there is no information helping to choose the best Rx for a condition among a list of medication. Clicking on a medical condition makes a list of medication classes and names appear. Then all it does is, when you click on a specific Rx, open up a mini-monography. Very deceiving.
Once you buy essentials you cannot use it in your iPhone and iPad as the rest of the applications. They want you to buy it twice! And it is already expensive. I am sorry I bought it.
It lacks most of the drugs that Id look up (Im an endocrinologist). Dostinex or Norprolac, drugs that have been around for years, its never heard of. I purchased the activation key in late 2011 but then Apple had me restore the iPhone to correct a problem, and now the activation key doesnt work (it says already in use and doesnt recognize that its the same phone). But trying to get customer support from the CPA is ridiculous. The stated customer support page gives a 404 error for no such page! Theres been no reply after 11 days to the email addresses that are supposed to work. So I have a generally useless application that I paid for and which now wont even work.
It was ok for a free app but I can no longer use it unless I pay like 39$ wich is ridiculous
Useless app, did not download all modules, what did download what not very useful and on top of that they want your money. They are many free and paid alternatives that offer better value.
I cant even search up drugs and their profiles? It just wont let me and half the icons in the app did not even download. Dont get this app. Useless
